Connect to Emoncms with arduino ethernet shield

Hie i have been using the open energy monitor for a while and was wondering if there is a way i can connect to emoncms using my arduino ethernet shield. I built my own energy monitor using the emontx v3 as a model . So i am scratching my head how to begin i am fairly new to this . If  someone has an idea where i can begin or how to proceed .
