Reading/editing stored datafiles

Hi,

is ist possible to read out, or perhaps edit the stored data-files in the emoncmsdata-folders (/phpfiwa...) ?
Opening with notepad++ I see only unreadable code.

thx for the infos.
But I am a "only" windows-user. Thought there could be a "program" for such people like me.
