how is the kwh to kwh/d processor calculating?

hi,

I started logging some testdata in emoncms and started wondering about the kwh/d visualisation. I first processed my power to kwh, followed by kwh to kwh/d

my powerfeed was nearly constant at 18 W. I started at around 15pm, which should give me around 9 hours for tuesday. The amount of Energy within that 9 hours calculate like 18W* 32400s (60s*60m*9h). Now I simply devide it by the amount of Energy of 1 kwh (=1000*60*60=36*10⁵).

kwh/d= (18*32400)/(36*10⁵)=0.162

I also checked this result by an onlinecalculater - just to be sure - which resulted the same.

However my kwh/d visualisation says 21,4 kwh.

I know that the calculation with realtime inputs need to work differently, but still there is no simalarity at all...

The correct process list coming from power input is :

> Log to feed  'power feed'  "optional..."

> power to kwh/d

> power to kwh

Re: how is the kwh to kwh/d processor calculating?

Interesting. I've got mine ordered:

Log to feed

pwr to kWh

pwr to kWh/d

I've had my PV, import/export and consumption inputs are ordered that way for a little over two years, and the results are as they should be.

Just to see if it made any difference, I reversed the pwr to kWh and pwr to kWh/d order of one set, let it run that way for a few weeks, and it worked same as before. i.e. the order didn't make any difference.

I have mine ordered the same as you Bill.

hi,

yeah thank you...This way it's working. I thought the processes hand over the results to the next process, so that the processor followed by the"power to kWh" processor would get a kWh input.  Just realized now that it's still using the power input, what also is way more logical. I thought way to complicated. Thanks again!

Yes the order pwr > kwh or pwr > kwh/d does not matter...

But kaulquappe did use this process list :

pwr > kwh

kwh > kwh/d

this is wrong

Yep, your're right.

Ya caught me nappin'!
