Are there any projects to interface with some of the smart meters out there? We have an OpenWay CENTRON Itron.

This meter does not have the pulse interface that Emon uses. In the document it says:
Every OpenWay CENTRON meter includes a ZigBee radio for interfacing with the HAN, in-home displays and load control devices.
This would be a much more efficient link to get data from.
