Thanks for having a look! I am so new at this and so confused by all the information none of which seems to answer the simple question I have. Have ordered a Solar Pi and thought while I was waiting for delivery I would set up the database.
Have installed Ubuntu 14.04 LTS on an old pc and have followed the instructions on
https://github.com/emoncms/emoncms/blob/master/docs/LinuxInstall.md and had I thought completed all that was needed. When I try the http://localhost/emoncms I end up with the default apache2 webpage and I just don't understand how to move on from there. I have read a lot of different Posts and tried most of them without success. It's just that I am so new to this and find it difficult to understand.
I would really appreciate the help.

I am still struggling despite following these instructions ... but it may be worth a try.
