Is emonTx able to use with high-voltage and large-current?

It seems that emonTx is exactly what I'm looking for measuring energy (real power over time) of my industrial equipment.

I'm wondering that emonTx has a capability to measure real power with various wave forms (sine, square, and triangle) derived from high-voltage and large-current consuming equipment.

The equipment is a kind of induction heating system which is driven at 0.5KHz ~ 50KHz and with up to 400KVA (400V/1000A).

I think I can use emonTx with appropriate ratio of CTs but I'm not sure that it can capture and measure real power up to 50KHz AC wave forms.

Any comment would be appreciated.

If you need to measure the output side of the heater, I'm afraid we can't help you.

The processing power of the Atmel 328P is unfortunately nowhere near good enough for 50 kHz. The emonLib library methods calculate true rms with about 2500 sample pairs (voltage & current) per second at the processor's maximum speed, which of course is perfectly adequate for its designed purpose of measuring domestic mains (50-60 Hz) supplies.

If it is acceptable to measure the mains input, the inputs required are a current signal of 50 mA rms maximum from your CT, and a voltage signal of approx 10 V rms from your VT. Those values assume a sine wave so if your current waveform (in particular) is not a reasonable sine wave, the limit is the corresponding peak value.
