That type of output normally indicates a serial baud speed mismatch, the most commonly used speeds (for OEM) are 9600 and 38400 (there are a few 57600 devices out there but not many).
Does the green led on the rfm2pi device flash occasionally to indicate it has received data?
Are you using the SDcard image? Do you have emonhub installed ? with the loglevel set to DEBUG in the emonhub.conf you can get a better insight as to what's happening in emonhub.log

it was 38400 baud. thanks, after changing in conf file it is working.
