Need a physically larger CT sensor?

I am trying to monitor a US-based 200-amp 120-volt panel with an emonTx3. The panel has two mains of 0/4 aluminum. Unfortunately these measure about 19 mm in diameter with their insulation and the opening in the CT sensor (SCT-013-000) is 13x13 mm. What can be done to get this to work? Removing the insulation from the mains seems like a bad idea. Reboring the sensor seems also like a bad idea. Is there an alternative CT sensor?

Yes, if you search for "USA", you should find very many posts and replies that will help you. If you don't find anything with that, try "Magnelab". Search is the box at the top of the page just to the right of "Search this site:"

I have been using both the YHDC SCT-019-000 which has a 19mm opening, or the Magnelab SCT-1250-000 which as a 31mm opening.  As Robert suggested, you'll need to find the relevant threads with info about changing the burden resistor and calibration for these CT's as they are not plug-and-play.

Thanks for the replies. I will look into your suggestions.

Sorry I didn't find the other threads before posting the question. Sometimes it is hard to figure out what to search for.

"Sometimes it is hard to figure out what to search for." Agreed. I'm trying to find time to write a section on using the emonTx in the USA.
