Cant have API key, emoncms on shared linux host

Hello,

I've installed emoncms8 here http://black-electronics.com/emoncms/ by following the instruction on github rework branch.

I want to use the cms software, but I'll be hooking up my custom hardware.

So,I registered myself and after loggin in, I'm getting a few errors/bugs

1. When click on Viz

I get this "Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home2/USERNAME/public_html/emoncms/Modules/user/user_model.php on line 397"

2. In Feed API  page

The following is written in Read only box "<br /><b>Notice</b>:  Trying to get property of non-object in <b>/home2/USERNAME/public_html/emoncms/Modules/user/user_model.php</b> on line <b>389</b><br />"

And following is written in Read Write box "<br /><b>Notice</b>:  Trying to get property of non-object in <b>/home2/USERNAME/public_html/emoncms/Modules/user/user_model.php</b> on line <b>397</b><br />"

3. I know I should have not clicked on it but on Admin page when I clicked on "update&check" I get "Fatal error: Call to a member function fetch_object() on a non-object in /home2/hemalc/public_html/emoncms/Modules/admin/update_class.php on line 67"

If you need more information please let me know

Thanks

Re: Cant have API key, emoncms on shared linux host

I'm pretty sure version 8 is still in beta, if so are likely to need Trystan's help.

Although Trystan is around on the forums it isn't everyday.

Can I suggest you open an Issue on github against the rework branch so that it can be tracked and fixed prior to the formal release of the software?

I arrived at the home page of your site. I hope you let friends give a peek. What will you monitor?

I've opened up an issue on github https://github.com/emoncms/emoncms/issues/150

I'll be monitoring temperature, humidity and motion detection
