I'm a retired electronics engineer with experience of programming (many years ago) in Fortran, Algol, Basic, and more recently VB, but a complete novice with real time/C++ - Java, and no knowledge of microcontrollers whatsoever. I've been in project management too long! I'm looking for an electronics project with beneficial practical applications, like energy use optimisation. Help getting started would be greatly appreciated.
