OEM config file setup

Hi all,

Have just bought the kit & pre-loaded SD card to monitor some circuits at a new building.

The SD card doesn't have the oemgateway.conf file on it to add our ID's into - does anyone have a guide on how to do this?

We've downloaded Win32 to re-install the files which were on there but to no avail...

We've gone with the Raspberry Pi option, all of the other equipment is working ok (assumed).

Any guides or tips on getting this system up and running would be very much appreciated!

Thanks

"does anyone have a guide on how to do this?" Does emoncms.org not tell you? Are you looking at the correct device and the correct partition for your file?

Re: OEM config file setup

Thank you for your suggestion!

I have been following the guidance on emoncms.org - however, there is no partition on the SD card I received. I have attached an image of files visible on my SD card.

When I reach the step where it is required to input data (i.e. API keys) into the oemgateway.conf file, there is no file present on my SDcard to continue setting up the system.

I would greatly appreciate if anyone can advise me on how to I can address this issue to continue following the setting-up guidance

Re: OEM config file setup

Hi Shane,

Can you see an oemhub.conf file on the SD card? We have changed to using oemhub (low write version of emoncms) for the pre-built SD card images, see setup guide here https://github.com/emoncms/emoncms/blob/bufferedwrite/readme.md

Sorry for the confusion.

Re: OEM config file setup

I think what Glyn actually meant was emonhub.conf not oemhub.conf :-)

Re: OEM config file setup

Hi Shane,

I can't explain what you do have there but the absence of the emonhub.conf file tells us that for whatever reason it's not a full latest version of the SD card image so maybe you could download and install the latest image using win32diskimager.

see https://github.com/emoncms/emoncms/blob/bufferedwrite/docs/setup.md
