Log Kwhd Imported and Exported (not Nett)

Just got my 2 emontxs working, 1 CT is on the meter tail, and one is on the Solar PV  AC connection from the RCBO to the inverter (in the garage). All working well. I have the raspberry pi B+ and have the low write local emoncms configured.

I am just downloading the new SD card version from yesterday to try.

I would like to log total amount imported, and total amount exported, using the CT on the meter tail, and display daily graphs.

My understanding is that I need to use the Limit Positive processor to record amount imported. But I also need the Limit Negative processor on a copy of the Meter Tail input.

Is this possible?

Cheers,

A

Yes, it's been answered before. You need to "allow positive" then "Log to feed" to record the import, then "reset to zero" to kill the positive, restore the original with "+ input", then "allow negative" and "Log to feed" to record the export. If you want to display a positive value for export, multiply by -1 before you log it to the feed.

This post should point you in the right direction. It does not have the kwh/d or histograms but if you add those after each log to feed line then you should have a pretty simple setup.

Re: Log Kwhd Imported and Exported (not Nett)

Thanks for the pointer - I did search, but didn't find that thread.

I tried adding the allow positive a couple of times and this step just disappeared from the list. The other steps remained.

I tried a few more times and it did eventually stick, but now clicking the spanner icon to go and re-edit on the inputs screen doesn't do anything. The spanner icon works on the other inputs.

All inputs are now marked inactive, and no data is being collected.

I rebooted the Pi, and still nothing is working.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

A
