emonPi / emonBase, MQTT and node-RED

Over last few days I have been exploring the power of node-RED and how easy it would be to integrate / run in parallel with emonHub and emoncms on the emonPi or emonBase. Turn out it's pretty easy to setup. I posted a blog post this morning:

I'm pretty impressed with how easy and powerful node-RED is to use. The hardest thing is probably deciding how best to use it and what to implement next, the possibilities are endless!

I notice there is already a user contributed node-RED flow to post data to emoncms:  http://flows.nodered.org/node/node-red-node-emoncms.

Does anyone know if there is a flow already written to pull data back from emoncms? If not I will write one and contribute to the node-RED flow database. A easy way to pull data back from emoncms would be very useful e.g ability to look at how much power has bee used yesterday or so far today.

Has anyone else been using node-RED and MQTT in conjunction with emonPi / emonBase? I would be interested to hear about your setup.

My next plan is to use IFTT Android location and WiFi relay board to ensure my heating is turned off when I'm away and turn on just when I arrive home.
